My initial experience has been quite frustrating, to be honest. While it’s advertised as a magnetic charger, I immediately noticed that the magnetism wasn't strong enough to properly hold the watch in place for consistent charging. It seems like the interior contact isn't making a good connection, which is a major letdown when you just want to set it down and know it's working.
I also found that the indicator light on this device is very bright—definitely something to keep in mind if you plan on having it near your bed at night. Furthermore, other buyers seem to feel similarly about the grip; some noted that it had almost no magnetism at all, which explains my difficulty in getting a charge started.
Adding to the inconsistency, I've had issues getting the power source right. While one port seems to work when connected via a standard cable, trying to use a USB-C connection directly to my laptop resulted in nothing happening. It’s frustrating when the function is so hit-or-miss; sometimes one of the two charging spots just seems completely dead.
For a dual charger, having one side fail right out of the box or shortly after initial use is unacceptable.
If you primarily need a charging dock that relies strictly on a traditional power cable connection, and you don't mind the very bright light, you *might* get this to work for some of your devices. However, if you are looking for reliable magnetic contact across all the supported Samsung Galaxy Watch models listed, including the newer Ultra/7 and Pro versions, this product seems like a gamble based on my experience. I would advise potential buyers to consider alternatives if a strong magnetic hold is critical for them when purchasing the Dual Type c Magnetic Wireless Charger.
